Ferran Adria

I want to introduce you to Ferran Adria. Deemed the worlds greatest chef at the world greatest restaurant. Ferran uses his extraordinary creativity and courage to present his "art" to his guests. at his restaurant "ElBulli", the guests doesnt have a menu. but they are served about 28 to 35 dishes carefully assembled by the team at ElBulli. The philosophy of the restaurant is to let people have an emotional response to the food. Ferran treats a humble pear just as he treats expensive caviar. His team always shares their new discoveries and works hard with open ideas at their "experiment lab", which really looks like a lab:
they even have special signs and codes to categorize their ingredients.
I just admire how much dedication these people have put into the subject they pursue.

more about Ferran Adria:
hope you enjoy this documentary where my Anthony Bourdain (one of my most favourite celeb/ author chef) decodes Ferran Adria

enjoy~!  :D

In A Better World.

I went for this movie alone that day. I knew it's an Oscar winner for best foreign language film. I knew it would be great. But, honestly, I didn't have too much of expectation before watching it. Really, and sorry to say that, I was just thinking to kill some time instead of wondering around the mall alone.

However, it is really good. At least it's more than what I've expected (alright, I didn't have much expectation -___-) Although for me it's not the Oscar level, but well, it is good. Indeed, it won Oscar.
There are scenes touched my heart deeply, just like how the book - The Kite Runner - did. I had many 'omg' and 'shit shit shit' between the film (of course it's me mumbling in my mind).

Anyway, you should watch it. I will let you to interpret the film yourself.
Worth watching.

Patrick Wolf.

(I've deleted one video here. As I realised that it's no more the same song I was listening to. -___-)

Honestly, I don't know much about him but I like his music and the way he plays the music :)

Lykke Li. jamming. in the toilet.

I think I need someone to stop me from clicking on her videos.
She is so freaky yet so perfect.
Even in a toilet :-O

Sometimes I find myself smiling to myself while scanning through the comments on you-tube.
I saw this for this video:
"Bathrooms are known for nice acoustics." - Jamesscalise
Cute.

El Perro Del Mar - God Knows (You gotta give to get)

Hey you might like this song.

The video is so cute.
The lyrics are so good
(although it's quite annoying after repeating for sometimes -__-)

"You gotta give to get ~"

:)

Lykke Li.

Found Lykke Li when I was wondering around.
Clicked on her song in editors' pick in Rolling Stone - I Follow Rivers.
Not too bad. The cover of the album attracts me too. Dark and mysterious.
So I went you-tube more about her.

I am so happy to meet this pretty voice, she was described in Rolling Stone as: an ingenious oddball.
Anyway, I was so excited to share this, until... I heard this song:

I thought, it sounds familiar, but I couldn't remember from which movie I heard this.
I scrolled down the page, and I saw this comment:
"I'm glad I was a fan of Lykke Li before Twilight. :]" - Tekkiee
Then, I mumbled inside my heart: What the hell. People might think that I like her because of Twilight.
So, I want to clarify that I am not a big fan of Twilight, beside Jacob.
Anyway, who cares.

The main point here is Lykke Li.
Great one for me to escape from the reality.

(ps: I couldn't post the original MV for the 2nd and 3rd video. I highly recommend that you go youtube search for the original video. Different feeling to listen it with the videos, especially for the I'm Good, I'm Gone )
